As for Cann River itself, my version is nothing like the real Cann River. I used to stop off at the petrol station at the crossroads on my way down to Melbourne and every time I stood waiting to get back on the coach, I thought the area would make the perfect setting for a dark comedy thriller.
So, I wrote one.
